From Amsterdam to Lucerne via Zurich | Rhine Falls & Chapel Bridge Welcome to the first post of my 4-day Switzerland travel series! I’m Prasenjit Ghosh — a trekker, traveler, and storyteller. This adventure began in the Netherlands and took us through the heart of Switzerland, filled with lakes, mountains, waterfalls, and charming old towns. ✈️ Morning: From Amstelveen to Zurich Our journey kicked off bright and early at 7:00 AM from Amstelveen , Netherlands. We took a quick bus ride to Schiphol Airport , Amsterdam’s main international hub. We boarded a small regional flight with a 2x2 seating layout and reached Zurich Airport around 11:00 AM . Smooth skies, zero delays — a perfect start! 🚆 Midday: Train to Rhine Falls (Neuhausen am Rheinfall) From Zurich, we hopped on a Swiss train to Neuhausen am Rheinfall , arriving at 12:43 PM . Rhine Falls — Europe’s largest waterfall — was a surreal experience. The thundering water, lush surroundings, and viewing platforms gave us...

“In Darjeeling, the clouds don’t just pass by — they walk with you.” Nestled in the Eastern Himalayas, Darjeeling Mall Road is more than just a promenade. It’s the heartbeat of the hill town — a blend of colonial charm, peaceful culture, and quiet mountain magic. In early February 2025, I had the chance to witness Chowrasta , the central part of Mall Road, like never before — in a rare off-season calm, wrapped in clouds and mystery. And this time, I decided to capture it in a unique way: entirely in slow motion . 🎥 Watch the Full Slow Motion Video Below: 👉 Click the video below to experience Darjeeling’s Mall Road like you’ve never seen it before — from a foggy morning to a softly lit night under the stars . (Be sure to wear headphones and enjoy the ambient sounds and voiceover!) 🌫️ The Morning Mist — When the Hills Whisper We began our walk just after sunrise. The clouds were rolling fast , the fog was thick , and visibility was low — but beautiful. From the hotel balcony, ...

When I entered the train it was dark because the fuse was down.. Then at that moment Baban, Chandana aunty, Bappa kakai and Prasenjit kakai came. We got dissatisfied by seeing the dark compartment, at last the light came, we ate Misty-Sukh, Jolbhora misty and cakes. At 11 PM we fell asleep, the night was awesome. The breeze, the shaking train, my dream was awesome.. 23rd March 5:45 AM, I woke up and looked outside but there was nothing to see as it was foggy outside, at last everyone woke up. I went for the brush and came back. Mom gave me two biscuits and I had them. Me and Baban went up and started writing our diaries. Then the coffee uncle came and gav...

Kedarkantha Trek

TREKKING INTO THE DOORS OF HEAVEN Watch the cover video: Still, it feels like yesterday. Actually, it was an impromptu journey to the Himalayas. Obviously, I was feeling a little bit jaded, exhausted from the mundanity of Work-Eat-Sleep-Internet life, so me and two of my college friends thought of escaping from the industrious life to the Himalayan paradise, a snowy trek to Kedarkantha. This trek is no doubt a potpourri of natural beauty and mythology. This is one of most popular snow treks in India. Do not mistake Kedarkantha as a place, it is a mood which is congested with the redolence of petrichor. The Himalayan beauty fits the bill for a perfect trekking destination.   Kedarkantha is the quintessence of serenity; no hullabaloo, no fuss, no uproar except the sweet notes of chirping.   The itinerary for the trek was something like this: ●        Day 1 Trek: Netwar (Gaichan Gaon) → Jalouta ●        Day 2...

We wanted to reach Chansal Pass before sunset but due to undergoing road construction works and tire puncture we reached there around 7:30PM. In the moonlight the experience was wonderful but we missed the sunset and the view of mountains. Finally we reached the Baota Village around  10:30PM. All o...
